Renewable Energy Stocks

The Indian stock market exhibited a steady performance on October 27, 2026, with benchmark indices hovering near their prior closing figures. The S&P BSE Sensex wrapped up the day at 73,598.67, experiencing a slight dip of 0.01%, while the Nifty 50 edged up by 0.03% to finish at 22,760.75. Although the broader market showed limited fluctuations, a number of renewable and green energy stocks enjoyed significant gains, buoyed by targeted buying in small-cap and mid-cap segments.

Insolation Energy stood out as a top performer in the renewable energy sector, surging by 10.00% on the BSE to close at ₹69.18. The stock also saw a 9.14% increase on the NSE, highlighting robust buying enthusiasm. Kabra Extrusion followed closely with a 5.00% rise on the BSE, finishing at ₹742.95. Websol Energy also made strides, advancing 4.99% to ₹66.69, while JSW Energy climbed 4.67% to settle at ₹471.00. Juniper Green Energy rounded off the gains with a 4.58% increase, ending the session at ₹241.95.

Among the leading players in renewable energy, Adani Green Energy posted a gain of about 2.24%, trading at ₹1,276.55 on the BSE and ₹1,277.30 on the NSE. NTPC Green Energy saw a 1.95% rise to ₹83.33, while Olectra Greentech increased by 1.96% to close at ₹979.00. These upward movements reflect a sustained interest from investors in renewable energy generation and the related infrastructure sector.

Tata Power experienced a slight uptick of 0.44%, finishing the day at ₹340.30 on the BSE. Similarly, Larsen & Toubro saw a modest rise of 0.18%, closing at ₹3,683.50. In contrast, Reliance Industries remained stable at ₹1,202.00, indicating a lack of significant movement among some of the larger players in the market. favourable

On the flip side, the session witnessed minor setbacks in certain energy-related stocks. The Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) dipped by 0.77% on the BSE, ending at ₹103.00. EKI Energy Services also faced a slight decline of around 0.4%, suggesting that investor interest varied across the sector.

Overall, the trading day showcased a mixed yet generally favourable performance among renewable energy stocks, even as the broader market remained within a tight range. Notable gains in solar manufacturing firms, independent power producers, and select clean energy companies stood in contrast to the modest losses observed in a few other stocks.

The October 27 session underscored a discerning approach by investors in India’s green energy sector. Although the benchmark indices remained relatively stable, there was notable enthusiasm for individual stocks, indicating that investors were honing in on particular companies within the renewable energy and power industries.
