In a significant step towards strengthening India’s circular economy and clean energy transition, Antony Lara Enviro Solutions Pvt Ltd has entered into a strategic partnership with Japan-based JFE Engineering Corporation to develop waste-to-energy projects in Andhra Pradesh.
The collaboration involves an investment of up to ¥750 million (approximately ₹44 crore) in two special purpose vehicles (SPVs), Kadapa Renew Energy Pvt Ltd and Kurnool Renew Energy Pvt Ltd. These SPVs are being developed to set up WtE facilities aimed at converting municipal solid waste into renewable energy.
Under the agreement, JFE Engineering will acquire a 25% equity stake in each SPV through primary share issuance, while Antony Lara Enviro will retain a majority 75% stake. Post-investment, the SPVs will cease to be wholly owned subsidiaries of Antony Lara, marking a shift towards international collaboration in India’s waste management ecosystem.
