KPI Green Energy Limited has announced the incorporation of a new wholly-owned subsidiary, KPGC One Private Limited (KPGCO), as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence across the renewable energy and power infrastructure value chain.

The development marks another step in the company’s efforts to expand its clean energy footprint and create dedicated platforms for future power generation and energy storage projects.

New Entity to Focus on Renewable Energy and Storage

According to a regulatory filing, KPGC One Private Limited was incorporated on June 18, 2026, as a 100 per cent subsidiary of KPI Green Energy. The company has been established with an authorised and subscribed capital of ₹1 lakh.

As a newly formed entity, KPGCO has not yet commenced commercial operations. However, it has been created with a broad mandate to undertake activities related to power generation, transmission, distribution, storage, trading and supply of electricity.

The company will focus on projects across multiple energy segments, including solar, wind, hydro, biomass and other renewable energy sources, while also exploring opportunities in energy storage infrastructure.

Supporting Future Growth Plans

Industry observers note that renewable energy companies are increasingly creating specialised subsidiaries and project-focused entities to support large-scale investments, improve operational flexibility and accelerate project execution.

KPGCO is expected to serve as a dedicated vehicle for developing and managing future renewable energy assets, energy storage facilities and related infrastructure projects.

The subsidiary will also be involved in establishing, owning, operating and maintaining power generation facilities, alongside supporting activities linked to the broader energy ecosystem.

Investment Made Through Cash Consideration

KPI Green Energy informed stock exchanges that the investment in the new subsidiary has been made through cash consideration amounting to ₹1 lakh. The company will retain complete ownership and management control over the newly incorporated entity.

The incorporation did not require any regulatory or governmental approvals, and the company has been registered with the Registrar of Companies in Ahmedabad.

The move comes at a time when India’s renewable energy sector is witnessing rapid growth, driven by increasing investments in clean energy generation, battery storage systems and sustainable infrastructure.
