Junipur Green Energy has commissioned an additional 100 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at its Bikaner-II project in Rajasthan. With the latest commissioning, the aggregate commissioned BESS capacity at the Bikaner-II project has increased to 201 MWh from 101 MWh, the company said in a statement.

The additional 100 MWh storage system has been commissioned through Jupiter Green Energy Limited, an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of Juniper Green Energy. Junipur Green Energy Limited is an independent renewable energy power producer in India. The company has been developing renewable energy projects along with energy storage infrastructure as part of its portfolio.
The commissioning of the additional capacity increases the operational storage capacity at the Bikaner-II project and takes the project’s total commissioned BESS capcity above 200 MWh. The latest commissioning adds to the operational energy storage infrastructure at Bikaner-II and increases its commissioned capacity to 201 MWh. With the additional system being brought online through its wholly owned subsidiary, Junipur Green Energy continues to expand its presence in the renewable energy and storage segment. The Bikaner-II project now has a larger operational storage base, which can support the broader integration and management of renewable power generated in the region.
