Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has introduced BharatGas Lite ZIP, a next-generation LPG offering built around a lightweight composite cylinder designed to make cooking gas safer, lighter and more convenient for consumers. The service has been launched in Mumbai and will be expanded to 100 additional cities across 24 states by August 15.

Unlike conventional steel cylinders, the BharatGas Lite composite cylinder is significantly lighter, making it easier to carry and handle. It features a corrosion-free body, a translucent design that allows users to check the remaining LPG level, and enhanced safety features aimed at improving the overall cooking experience.

The Lite ZIP service combines instant new LPG connections with express cylinder delivery, enabling customers to receive quicker service while simplifying the process of obtaining a new connection. BPCL said the offering has been developed to meet the needs of modern households looking for faster, hassle-free and more premium energy solutions.

The nationwide rollout is part of BPCL’s broader strategy to modernise LPG distribution and enhance customer convenience through innovative products and digital services. By extending the service to more cities, the company aims to make advanced composite cylinders accessible to a larger number of households across the country.
