The Hinduja Group has announced an investment of ₹20,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh, focusing on energy generation, renewables, and electric mobility. The investment will be implemented in phases under a strategic agreement with the state government.

As part of the initiative, the group will expand its 1,050 MW thermal power plant in Visakhapatnam by adding two new 800 MW units and develop large-scale solar and wind energy projects in the Rayalaseema region.

In addition, the company plans to set up an electric bus and light commercial vehicle manufacturing facility at Mallavalli in Krishna district and roll out a statewide EV charging network to strengthen the electric mobility ecosystem.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in London following a meeting between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and senior Hinduja Group executives. The collaboration is expected to position Andhra Pradesh as a key clean energy and EV manufacturing hub, contributing to India’s sustainable development goals.
