Andhra Pradesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Evren (formerly ABC Cleantech) and Axis Energy Ventures India, committing to develop a large-scale renewable energy infrastructure portfolio worth ₹1,10,250 crore. The agreement has been facilitated via the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP).
The joint initiative proposes the development of 6,500 MW of solar capacity, 6,500 MW of wind power, and 6,500 MWh of energy storage systems, making it one of the most comprehensive renewable-energy plans in the state. In addition, the partners plan to set up green hydrogen production facilities targeting 0.25 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of hydrogen and up to 1 MTPA of its derivatives.

A portion of the clean energy produced under the pact is expected to be supplied to the state’s power distribution utilities, while another share will support emerging energy-intensive sectors such as green manufacturing, data-centres, and other industrial applications where renewable energy is a priority.
The deal is aligned with Andhra Pradesh’s ambition to position itself as a major hub for clean energy and to support India’s broader decarbonisation goals. By combining large-scale generation, storage and green-fuel production, the collaboration is expected to accelerate the region’s transition to a low-carbon future.
