State-owned power major NTPC Limited has entered into an initial pact with the Government of Gujarat to explore opportunities in both conventional and non-conventional energy sectors. The agreement was formalised during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference held in Mehsana, Gujarat, marking a key milestone in strengthening India’s clean energy transition.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) exchange took place in the presence of Bhupendrabhai Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat; Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of New & Renewable Energy; Kanubhai Desai, Minister for Finance, Energy and Petrochemicals, Gujarat; along with other senior dignitaries.

The collaboration seeks to enhance investments, innovation, and infrastructure development across the energy value chain — from thermal and hydro to solar, wind, and emerging green technologies. It aims to harness Gujarat’s policy strength and NTPC’s technical expertise to advance sustainable and efficient energy solutions.
