MoEVing, a specialist electric-mobility solutions provider, has announced a partnership with Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles’ dealer network to deploy a fleet of 700 electric small commercial vehicles (e-SCVs) for last-mile delivery operations in India.

Under the agreement, Tata Motors’ leading dealers, including the likes of Pascos, Johar Automobiles and Bhandari Automotive, will own and maintain the fleet, while MoEVing will handle the operations and deployment of the vehicles across more than 10 cities, such as Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kolkata.

The vehicles will include the Ace EV and Ace Pro EV models from Tata Motors. Over the next phase, the partnership aims for the fleet to collectively cover around 25 million kilometres annually, servicing over 20 enterprise clients in e-commerce, logistics and FMCG sectors.

According to MoEVing’s founder & CEO, Vikash Mishra, the leasing-based business model (dealer owns the fleet, MoEVing operates it) is intended to unlock operational efficiency, streamline fleet ownership and maintenance, and help scale the e-SCV deployment sustainably.

From Tata Motors’ perspective, Pinaki Haldar, Vice President & Business Head, SCVPU, emphasised the company’s commitment to driving India’s transition to green, zero-emission mobility and said that its network of more than 200 EV support centres nationwide will underpin reliability for the new fleet.

If the rollout progresses as planned, India’s urban logistics environment could see a significant shift towards electrification, reducing dependence on diesel-powered trucks in congested city corridors, improving air quality and supporting corporate ESG goals. The partnership will also test how scalable leasing + operational models can accelerate EV uptake in the commercial-vehicle segment.
