
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has bagged the entire capacity of 70,000 metric tonnes per annum of green ammonia in a recent e-reverse auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
According to a regulatory filing, NTPC REL will supply green ammonia to Krishana Phoschem Limited, based in Meghnagar, Madhya Pradesh, at a rate of ₹51.80 per kilogram. The allocation is part of SECI’s larger tender for 7.24 lakh metric tonnes of green ammonia across 13 locations nationwide.
SECI, in a social media post, highlighted that the deal marks the lowest discovered price for green ammonia to date.

In a parallel development, NTPC Green Energy Limited announced that IRCON Renewable Power Limited (IRPL) has commenced commercial operations for a partial capacity of 75 MW (Lot-5), bringing its total operational capacity to 300 MW out of a planned 500 MW.
IRPL is a joint venture between Ayana Renewable Power Private Limited and ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited.
