Saskatchewan is a powerhouse of sustainable energy with vast resources to ensure long-term energy security. It is one of the few places in the world that responsibly produce crude oil, natural gas, helium, uranium, and renewable energy, including solar, wind, and hydropower. Recognized for its strong mining sector, Saskatchewan consistently ranks first in Canada and third globally for investment attractiveness, according to consecutive annual surveys by the Fraser Institute.

When it comes to critical minerals, Saskatchewan punches above its weight. The province is home to 27 of the 34 critical minerals on Canada’s official list, including potash, uranium, helium, copper, zinc, rare earth elements (REEs), and lithium. These minerals are essential for sustainable technologies being developed for a green future, such as clean electricity, rechargeable batteries, and solar panels.
