JSW Energy, led by Sajjan Jindal, has announced an ambitious growth blueprint under its ‘Strategy 3.0’ plan, aiming to achieve 30 GW of power generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage by 2030. To realise this target, the company has earmarked a cumulative incremental capital expenditure of ₹1.3 lakh crore between FY2026 and FY2030.

“This Strategy 3.0 of 30 by 30 reflects our ambition to lead India’s energy security with scale, speed, and sustainability,” said Sharad Mahendra, Joint Managing Director and CEO, JSW Energy.

The announcement comes alongside a strong financial performance, with JSW Energy reporting a 20% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the January-March quarter of FY25, reaching ₹414.5 crore, up from ₹345.2 crore in the same period last year. For FY2024–25, consolidated net profit rose 15% to ₹1,983 crore from ₹1,725 crore in FY2023–24.

Revenue from operations grew 15.7% year-on-year during Q4 FY25 to ₹3,189 crore, compared to ₹2,756 crore in Q4 FY24. For the full fiscal year, revenue stood at ₹11,745 crore, a 2% increase over the previous year.

JSW Energy also reported a 2.8 GW increase in installed capacity during the quarter, supported by 478 MW of greenfield wind projects and 2,150 MW of thermal additions. This included the strategic acquisition of 1,800 MW operational capacity at KSK Mahanadi and the commissioning of 350 MW Unit-2 at JSW Utkal.

Net generation for FY25 rose 16% YoY to 32.4 BUs, driven by capacity expansion across renewable and thermal portfolios. Renewable generation saw a 24% YoY increase, reaching 11.6 BUs, thanks to 1.3 GW of new wind capacity and improved hydrology, resulting in an additional 949 MUs from hydro plants.

The company’s board declared a dividend of ₹2 per share and approved a plan to raise up to ₹10,000 crore in one or more tranches through private offerings, preferential allotments, qualified institutional placements, or other methods.
